Simone de Beauvoir versus strong woman?

The title : “Why Simone de Beauvoir didn’t believe in being a strong woman” was surprising to me! The philosopher who wrote for empowering women felt she was not a strong woman.

A strong woman, back in de Beauvoir’s writings and time, is what we refer to today as the balance between job and family that every woman encounter.

The interesting part in this article about de Beauvoir is that the French philosopher pointed out the myths told to young girls to shape them into housewives. Although she had nothing against caring for a family, she wanted this balance between a woman freedom and career choices and her care in her private life.

She didn’t have this strength? A compelling article below 👇
